Translation for Aria’s image song “Veritas”.
“Veritas”
Lyrics and composition: MikitoP
Vocals: Aria (CV: Asami Shimoda)
Representative character: Aria
Drawing a circle of Veritas “Face to Face”, the reflection on the water’s surface
Playing the line on an “Orchard Scale”1, the light that beckons you forth
The Sky of crimson, the Cloud of tears, the Space of mirrors
(Wave on Heart/Back and front/Burst into flames)
A Nebulation of sorrow2; no matter how afraid you are
I’ll come and embrace you
As a sorrowful wind flows in through the cracks in the cosmos
I’ll take in all of your desires for you
The exposed Veritas
Don’t look back; this is where you want to return, right? Right?
Even if you’re feeling weak or shameful
Have faith in my gaze
A Nebulation of sorrow; no matter how afraid you are
I’ll come and embrace you
As a sorrowful wind flows in through the cracks in the cosmos
I’ll take in all of your desires for you
The exposed Veritas
The exposed Veritas

Translator's notes
- This may be wordplay on “altered scale“, which would be pronounced similarly in Japanese. [↩]
- This is the same “kanashimi” used as in μ’s “Orbit“, but while “Orbit” uses the 悲 kanji, “Veritas” uses 哀 instead. Both mean “sadness”, but while 悲 carries a stronger nuance of lamentations or regrets, 哀 has a meaning closer to deep grief or pity. [↩]
